Yakhe Kwinana
EAST LONDON - Former SAA board member Yakhe Kwinana is appearing before the East London magistrate's court.
She was arrested on charges of extortion and malicious damage to property.
Kwinana is accused of extorting money from communities with armed accomplices.
She allegedly also oversaw the demolition of properties belonging to her victims.
The case was transferred to the Eastern Cape after a brief appearance in the Randburg magistrate's court in Johannesburg last Wednesday.
