Siphamandla Peterson (15) and 17-year-old Sibusiso Sibiya were attending a discipline camp at Rock Falls Adventure Ranch when they drowned in the Hennops River.

There were over 90 pupils on the trip with no educators, only a social worker.

Preliminary reports indicated that after activities wrapped up during the excursion, one of the pupils suddenly ran towards the river close to the camp entrance and the other pupil followed in an attempt to bring him back.
