Crime in SA | Contact crimes on the rise

PRETORIA - Crime levels in South Africa are on the increase.

That confirmation coming from the newly-appointed Police Minister, Senzo Mchunu.

Contact crimes such as murders, rape, hijackings and kidnappings for ransom are leading.

Mchunu outlined his plan of action. 

He said the department will be integrating the use of technology in the fight against crime and collaborate more with policing forums, civil society and the private sector.
