City officials to visit scene of deadly Joburg blaze

JOHANNESBURG - Joburg Public Safety MMC Mgcini Tshwaku is visiting the Jeppestown building gutted by fire.

The blaze in the abandoned and hijacked building left four dead, three injured and hundreds homeless.

It’s believed occupants of the building were using illegal electricity connections.

The fire comes almost after a year since the deadly Usindiso building blaze in August last year.
