JOHANNESBURG - More than 570 babies including six sets of twins have been safely delivered in public health facilities across the country, with most in Gauteng and the Eastern Cape.
New mothers are being urged to register the births of their children.
Unicef says two of 10 children remain unregistered globally and are invisible to governmental systems.

The deputy Home Affairs Minister joined Gauteng Health at Tembisa Hospital to welcome Christmas miracles.
A total of 184 Christmas babies were recorded in the province.
Home Affairs has set up offices in hospitals to register the new births.
