The department is calling on anyone with MPox symptoms to be tested.
They include a rash lasting between two and four weeks, fever, muscle aches, low energy and swollen glands.
The department says most patients are dealing with long-term underlying conditions, like HIV.
It's urging those with compromised immune systems to be extra vigilant.
