Cape storms | 41 informal settlements hit by flooding

CAPE TOWN - Over 2,000 residents of informal settlements have been displaced by floods in the Western Cape.

Heavy downpours wreaked havoc in Masiphumele, Bloekombos and Khayelitsha.  

Authorities say 41 informal settlements in the Cape metro alone have been impacted.  

The Weather Service predicts mostly sunny and warmer temperatures forecast for next week. 

This is expected to offer disaster teams some reprieve as they continue to assess the storm damage.
