EAST LONDON - A once tranquil tourist attraction has been turned into a noisy shebeen-like atmosphere.
Those are the worrying sentiments made by residents of Beacon Bay.
They claim the value of their homes is depreciating following years of unruly behaviour at Batting Bridge.
The complainants have since taken Buffalo City to court for not managing the park.
Earlier this year, a court ordered the City to heed the calls made by residents.
Residents also say the City Manager may be arrested next month if he doesn't comply with the court order.
Locals hope that Batting Bridge could soon return to what it once was.
