JOHANNESBURG - The Border Management Authority says the Lebombo Border Post will remain open as long as it is safe to do so.
This follows the temporary closure of one of South Africa's busiest border crossings with Mozambique due to violent post-election protests in that country.

BMA officials met with their Mozambican counterparts, who assured that there would be increased security.
BMA Commissioner Mike Masiapato says they would close the border again should further threats arise.
