JOHANNESBURG - The Auditor-General says there's been some improvement in government accounting.
Tsakani Maluleke was presenting the 2023-2024 General Report to the public spending watchdog, Scopa.
But, she warns there are some agencies that remain perennially problematic.
They include the UIF, Post Office, SAA and Denel.
The report recommends urgent reforms to address ongoing weaknesses within departments.
Bongi Ngoma, National Head of Audit at the Office of the Auditor-General, said clean audits have improved.
"But she issued a call to action to say though there is this improvement, the key service delivery departments show a decline in audit outcome."
