ANC temporarily withdraws motion of no confidence against Tshwane mayor

PRETORIA - The future of Cilliers Brink as Tshwane Mayor is uncertain.

The ANC has withdrawn its motion of no confidence against him.

The motion was expected to be debated and voted on at a council meeting on Friday.

But, the ANC temporarily withdrew it following a High Court challenge by Brink on Thursday.

He challenged the lawfulness of the motion, citing procedural irregularities.

Brink is accused of failing to ensure proper service delivery in the city.
