Alleged serial rapist back in the dock

JOHANNESBURG - Back in court is Thembisa's alleged serial rapist Sipho Lucas Phiri.

He's accused of inflicting a reign of terror between 2018 and 2023 during which he allegedly raped at least 37 women, some of whom are teenagers.

It's understood DNA obtained from the victims positively links him to 21 of the cases.

The Prasa security guard and law student allegedly lured his victims into a car before assaulting them.
