DURBAN - A 46-year-old man suspected of raping 16 women in KwaZulu-Natal has been arrested.
Police said the suspect has been terrorising women in Cato Manor since 2014.
Investigators say the suspect mainly operated at night, allegedly following women from taverns to their homes.
His victims were unable to identify him as he had concealed his face, but DNA has now linked him to the crimes.
The Serial and Electronic Crime Investigation and Investigative Psychology Units have been investigating.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Monday, facing multiple charges of rape, housebreaking and attempted murder.
