JOHANNESBURG - Airports Company South Africa says fuel shortages are a countrywide problem that needs collaborated effort.
This as concerns mount over jet fuel shortages at OR Tambo Internal Airport.
The supply to the airport was interrupted after a fire at the NATREF refinery.
But OR Tambo is not the only airport facing shortages.

Terence Delomoney from Airports Company South Africa said currently at OR Tambo in tank they have about 25 million litres of jet fuel.
"Our normal daily utilisation is approximately 3.6 million litres per day.
"Obviously with the issue that we’ve been having, the utilisation of that has come down slightly because some airlines are making alternative arrangements," Delemoney said.
"So we have about eight days of stock but I think on the positive side there are scheduled deliveries still to be made during the course of this week, this weekend and next week."
