AARTO Act | Demerit system to begin in mid-2025

JOHANNESBURG - The Road Traffic Infringement Agency is going ahead with the rollout of the AARTO Act.

The demerit points system, meant to roll out in September, is set to be implemented in 2025.

The system has been pulled back because the government is running behind in its rollout process.

According to OUTA, all municipalities and metros must be on board before it can be fully implemented.
