2024 elections | Zuma’s criminal record under scrutiny

JOHANNESBURG - Jacob Zuma has questioned his criminal record at the Constitutional Court.

His lawyer Dali Mpofu says the former president was imprisoned without pleading of facing a court.

He says the detention without trial means the criminal record is, in itself, unlawful.

Mpofu is representing Zuma in the IEC's bid to remove him from the MK Party's candidate list.
