2024 elections | Independent candidate says IEC to blame for poor performance

JOHANNESBURG - The Independent Electoral Commission is to blame for the poor performance of independent candidates in the recent elections.

So says independent candidate Anele Mda who only got about 3,00 votes.

Mda says independent candidates were denied resources that were given to political parties.

None of the independent candidates secured seats in the provincial and national legislatures.
