CAPE TOWN - The South African Jewish community shouldn’t be held responsible for the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
This is one of the views expressed after the ANC on Sunday withdrew from eNCA’s election town hall debate.
The decision by the governing party follows concerns raised over the venue where the debate took place.
The event was held at the South African Jewish Museum in Cape Town.
Despite initially agreeing to be part of the debate, the ANC withdrew with just hours to go.
Some commentators are questioning if the decision demonises the Jewish community in South Africa.
