JOHANNESBURG - India has won the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
The Men in Blue defeated the Proteas in the final in Barbados.
South Africa were asked to chase 177 runs for victory and narrowly fell short.
SA put on a stiff fight, although wickets kept falling at intervals.
Reeza Hendricks and captain Aiden Markram struggled with four runs each, while Heinrich Klaasen gave South Africa’s score some respectability.
However, his knock of a half-century wasn’t enough as they fell short by 7 runs.
