JOHANNESBURG - The Hawks have confirmed a raid at the South African Football Association (SAFA) offices in Nasrec, south of Johannesburg.
The Serious Commercial Crime Investigation says it executed a search and seizure warrant.
The warrant was prompted by allegations of fraud and theft amounting to R1.3m.
It's alleged that between 2014 and 2018, SAFA president Danny Jordaan used the organisation's resources for his personal gain.
This includes hiring a private security company for his protection and employing a Public Relations company without authorisation from the SAFA board.
Jordaan is also reported to have violated SAFA statutes.
During the search, a laptop, external hard drives, a USB and documents were seized.
