White Christmas in New York and Boston

NEW YORK - Santa’s sleigh wasn’t the only thing making tracks this Christmas.

Snowfall returned to the Big Apple for the first time in over a decade.

Not to be out-shoveled, Beantown got its own frosty makeover, as both cities enjoyed a long-awaited white Christmas.

It’s been 15 years since New York City and Boston last unwrapped a snowy holiday, but the Weather Service confirmed this year’s Christmas was truly white, with an official inch of snow.

From the Broadway lights to Fenway nights, the snow fell on Christmas Eve and stayed put through Christmas Day, making the holidays merry, bright, and just a little slippery.
