WGN honours women in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics

JOHANNESBURG - Women in science and the arts will be honored at the Womandla STEAM awards, set to take place in Johannesburg on 24 August.

The awards recognise and encourage women and girls to pursue careers in the STEAM fields.

Sam Gqomo, the director of Womandla Global Network, explained the awards will be targeted at women in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics.

Gqomo spoke with eNCA about the awards.
