JOHANNESBURG - The Hospice week is taking place from 5 to 11 May.
Its estimated that close to 60 million people in the world are under Palliative care.
In South Africa there are currently 91 hospice centres which are members of the Association of Palliative Care Centres of South Africa.
These centres are taking care of more than 150,000 people with terminal and life threatening conditions.
Besides these, there are many unaccredited centres around the country.
