CAPE TOWN - Extra virgin olive oil from South Africa is top-tier and deserves the respect it’s worth.

That’s the proud remark of the owner of Ubuntu Extra Virgin Olive oil, Loyiso Manga.

His company has just scooped Silver in the New York World Olive Oil competition.

It's the world's largest olive oil quality contest, and it is their first time competing.

He says the win caps off a challenging year for Ubuntu, which struggled to raise money to stay solvent.
