JOHANNESBURG - South Africa is healing from more wounds that have emerged post apartheid.
These wounds were inflicted by corruption as well as the incapacity of the state and those responsible in spear heading reconciliation.
This is according to political analyst Dr Mpumelelo Mkhabela who spoke to eNCA on Monday.
Mkhabela was reacting to President Cyril Ramaphosa Reconciliation Day speech he delivered in Vredendal, Western Cape.
This year the day observed yearly on 16 December is celebrated under the theme 'Healing Historical Wounds and Forging New Futures'.
The holiday came into effect in 1995 after the end of apartheid with the aims to reflect on our history, recognise veterans and heal wounds of past injustices.
