JOHANNESBURG - Officials plan to rename Sandton Drive to Leila Khaled Drive.
The 80-year-old Khaled is recognised for advocating for Palestinian rights.
City of Johannesburg City manager Floyd Brink urges the public to give their input on the proposed name.
He says that residents have 28 days to make comments and proposals.
Action SA says they take note of the decision to honour the liberation icon.
However, the party's Funzi Ngobeni says that Sandton Drive is a neutral name.
