Discussion | Survey shows over 63% of households in SA face food insecurity

STELLENBOSCH - According to the South African Food Security Index 2024, food security is at its lowest point in over a decade.  

At 45 percent it is lower than the neutral mark of 50.

One in four poor households reported that children went hungry last year.
