JOHANNESBURG - South Africa needs to do more in raising awareness around sepsis.

That's because an estimated 2 million people across sub-Saharan Africa die of sepsis every year.

It is a serious condition in which the body's infection-fighting mechanism fails. 

Chief clinical officer at Mediclinic Southern Africa, Dr Rachel Moore spoke to eNCA.
