Actor's wife fights for her life after surgery by 'fake' doctor at private hospital

JOHANNESBURG - An attempted murder and impersonation case has been opened with the South African Police Services.

This after Hlengiwe Mbambo, the wife of actor Thabo Malema, was allegedly injured during what should have been a life-saving total hysterectomy in 2022.

She is now facing the possibility of her kidney being removed.

Mbambo says the medical board in South Africa has confirmed that the assistant doctor does not exist.
