365th anniversary of first wine made in SA

CAPE TOWN - The South African wine industry is gearing up to celebrate a significant milestone in 2024.

It's 365 years since wine was first made from Cape grapes.

Jean Naudé, CEO of Groot Constantia Estate, says the country’s wine-making industry is older than that of Médoc, a region of France known for its wine production.
