CAPE TOWN - Experts are gathering data to bolster the management of a rabies outbreak in Cape Fur seals along the Western Cape coastline.
Eight cases have been detected within seal colonies in Muizenberg, Strand, Pringle Bay, Fishhoek and others.
The outbreak is a new global phenomenon with researchers saying rabies was picked up in these marine animals in Norway in 1980.
