Initiation season | Death toll in winter-initiation season rises to 13

EAST LONDON - The Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Department in the Eastern Cape says the death toll from the winter-initiation season has climbed to 13.

The provincial government continues to raise concerns over illegal circumcision schools where hundreds of boys have been rescued.

Last month, more than 30 underage boys were rescued from an illegal initiation school in the Alfred Nzo district.
