JOHANNESBURG - A good night's sleep is essential for one's health, and that means sleeping for at least 7 or 8 hours.

Studies show too little sleep impacts on heart health, mental well-being and weight.

Experts say poor sleep quality is a public health issue because it can result in sleep disorders like insomnia, nightmares and sleepwalking.
