CAPE TOWN - Earlier this month, President Ramaphosa assented to the Prevention and Combating of Hate Crimes and Hate Speech Bill.
It aims to protect constitutionally enshrined rights, such as human dignity, equality and the right to freedom and security.
The bill does not specifically deal with employment legislation, but it could have some impact on codes around harassment and what can and can't be said in the workplace.
Senior Associate at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr, Leila Moosa spoke to eNCA.
