Discussion | Concerns about an increase in young pupils skipping school

JOHANNESBURG - Education experts have expressed concerns about the increase in young pupils skipping school.

According to the Basic Education Department, 1.4% of those in the compulsory school age group of seven to 15 years, were not in school, for various reasons.

That is about 148,000 pupils.
