JOHANNESBURG - The first Blue and No Drop Water report in nearly a decade has been released.
It assesses water quality as well as water conservation and demand.
In general, it does not paint a good picture, showing a decline in water quality and management and an increase in unstable systems.

The Blue and No Drop report and interim Green Drop report point to increasing problems that need urgent attention.
For example, just 46% of water was fit for consumption last year.
