JOHANNESBURG - Eben Etzebeth has let the cat out of the bag.
"Elizabeth", as he is affectionately known, has revealed the story behind his slick haircut.
The Springbok lock forward rocked a cut similar to RG Snyman.
Etzebeth says he promised the team he would allow his hair to be cut if the Boks won the World Cup. And he says he had to stand by his word.
Luckily his wife believes the hairstyle suits him.
The Springboks touched down at the OR Tambo International Airport this morning clutching the Webb Ellis Cup.
Thousands of supporters began congregating at the airport early this morning.
The Boks beat the All Blacks 12-11 in a nail-biting Rugby World Cup final on Saturday.
South Africa are now the most successful rugby nation at the World Cup after winning four titles in eight appearances.
Their first three titles came in 1995, 2007 and 2019, with this year’s victory making it back-to-back wins for the Boks.
