CAPE TOWN - Western Cape health officials have set a target of getting more men to stick to their HIV treatment.

Provincial statistics have revealed that women outnumber men by far in terms of being treatment-compliant.

The province accounts for 8.2%  of infections.

Recent data by the Human Sciences Research Council shows that 7.8 million people are living with HIV in the country.
