WATCH | Millions in unclaimed Lotto winnings

JOHANNESBURG - If you live in the Eastern Cape and play the Lotto, you might want to check your tickets.

Operator Ithuba says there’s a jackpot winner from the province who has not yet claimed R8.5-million.

Although tickets are valid for claims for 365 days, that particular one is expiring soon.

Ithuba spokesperson Michelle van Trotsenburg says if a winning entry is purchased in a general retail store, they have no way of tracing the owner.
