Plight of actors laid bare

JOHANNESBURG - The plight of local artists has been thrust into the spotlight.

This week, veteran actor Vusi Thanda shared a video on social media, asking South Africans to help.

Thanda went public with his financial difficulties last week and pleaded with the nation to come to his rescue.

The South African Guild of Actors says Thanda’s plight, is heartbreaking.

Its chairperson, Jack Devnarain was in conversation with On The Spot host Lukhona Mnguni on Sunday.
