JOHANNESBURG - Car theft is a massive problem in South Africa.
Vehicle cloning is when a stolen car is presented as legitimate.
It's becoming more and more sophisticated.
Between 3,000 and 5,000 cases are reported each year in South Africa, and it seems the unwitting owner is the one left in trouble.
So, how do you know if you're not driving a stolen car?
Hermanus van der Linde, CEO of Integrisure Brokers, gives us some hints.
''Most cloned vehicles are through private sales, so it's up to you to do due diligence," he said.
