JOHANNESBURG - During the parliamentary debates on the Companies Act amendments, in 2023, executive pay disclosure was a key opposition.
With the President signing the new act on 26 July, it's expected that focused discussions on remuneration rules, will grow.
The changes to the act aim to enhance business efficiency and transparency by spotlighting pay gaps between top execs and lower-level employees.
To explain the Companies Act amendments, Walter Bhengu, the SA Institute of Chartered Accountant's Project Manager, spoke with eNCA.
