WATCH | Treasury explains Eskom exemption

JOHANNESBURG - The Finance Minister is set to explain to Parliament, why Eskom has been exempted from reporting irregular, wasteful and fruitless expenditure, and losses from criminal conduct.

This is according to National Treasury acting director-general, Ismail Momoniat.

There has been an outcry following the announcement.

Momoniat says the allegations of corruption made by former Eskom CEO Andre De Ruyter, must be investigated.
