JOHANNESBURG - The South African Revenue Services says it stands by National Treasury's decision to ban Bain and Co.
SARS Commissioner Edward Kieswetter says that as long as Bain and other companies implicated in state capture are fully transparent about their role, they cannot do business with government.
Bain wrote to SARS and Treasury seeking to overturn their ban on the group tendering for their business.
In September Bain South Africa was placed on a database of suppliers that cannot do work for the state.
The consultancy says it has been singled out and the ban is based on unproven allegations.
