JOHANNESBURG - South Africa has raised over R1-trillion in new investments over the past four years.
That's the revelation from President Cyril Ramaphosa, who says hundreds of billions of that money has already been channelled to grow the economy.
Ramaphosa says the government is doing its best to address rampant unemployment.

At the same time, according to Ramaphosa, South Africa will soon have smart cities in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape.
Ramaphosa says this is part government's plan to grow the economy in whichever way it can.
He was addressing the National Council of Provinces sitting in KwaZulu-Natal.
