JOHANNESBURG - Earlier this year, new minimum wages came into effect legislating that no worker should be paid less than R27.58 per hour.
Cosatu’s President, Zingiswa Losi, hailed the minimum wage at the worker’s day rally on Wednesday.
And she claims that it has helped lift six million workers out of poverty.
However the DA has said – should it win the elections – it will not raise the minimum wage any further and allow it’s value to be eroded.
