Unemployment remains stubbornly high in SA

JOHANNESBURG - Unemployment in South Africa is the crisis that keeps on deepening and ruining young lives with it.

The official unemployment rate rose to 33.5% in the second quarter.

Meaning one in three South Africans who want to work can’t get a job.

Young people are bearing the brunt of the crisis with youth unemployment rising to above 60 percent.

The CEO of the Youth Employment Service or YES, Ravi Naidoo discussed this with eNCA.
