Trucking companies advised to avoid Lebombo Border Post

LEBOMBO BORDER, MPUMALANGA - The Border Management Authority says engagements with trucking companies are ongoing to avoid sending cargo through the Lebombo border post.

This as truck drivers remain stranded there.

The BMA says the Lebombo border is not completely closed from the South African side, as they try to process trucks as and when the situation in Mozambique allows.

Tensions remain high in Mozambique as violence unfolds on the streets of Maputo.

Opposition protests over the recently announced election results show no sign of slowing down.

Truckers at the border post continue to feel the heavy impact of the ongoing protests.

Many say their goods have been stolen, which is adding to the mounting frustrations.
