CAPE TOWN - The United States (US) is inching closer and closer to a potential TikTok ban.
The popular social media app shut down its services to millions of users on Saturday,
but was restored on Sunday afternoon.
TikTok's Saturday black-out comes after the Supreme Court upheld a ban that was passed into law in April.
It prevents United States companies from hosting or creating content on the Chinese-owned social media platform, unless it sells to a buyer from the US or one of its allies.
