JOHANNESBURG - The tax season is upon us, with many South Africans already auto-assessed.
SARS has announced 15 July as the start of the filing season for provisional and non-provisional taxpayers.
But the revenue services is on course to lose out due to the illicit tobacco trade.
The High Court in May barred it from installing CCTV cameras at tobacco-manufacturing warehouses.
SARS Commissioner, Edward Kieswetter discussed this with eNCA.
